As we prepare to leave Kamloops in a few weeks, today I stopped to take some images of the city. Although Kamloops and I got off to a very rocky start 5+ years ago, we do have special memories here, wonderful friends, and I do (now) appreciate the scenery.

I got to sneak in a few cuddles with this adorable little man between taking photos.
It's a challenge when they are under six months, their focus isn't great, they don't always look the right way, or respond to you and look where you hope they will look. But when you capture a few keepers, it's pretty exciting.
I think I've got a few cute ones of this little man.
Thanks to Studio Five-0 who rent equipment and are fabulous to work with. I rented their macro lens. So much fun. :)
This is one of my favorites
Ohhh the baby curls !
Mobiles are SOO facinating !
I *LOVE* his expression here
And nothing is sweeter than a sleeping baby....
Sunday
Tuesday
I've met a lot of fabulous people in Kamloops. When we first moved here from Calgary, I had a hard time adjusting and I always complained about Kamloops. But the one thing I have always, and will always say, is that Kamloops, hands down has some of the BEST, nicest, most genuine people I've ever met.
One such example is my friend Jana. We've known each other since our boys were little. She's gone on to have another beautiful little boy. This is the third time I've photographed them. They were the VERY first family I photographed when I decided to start a business. I will always be grateful to them for allowing me to first try out my skills on them, and then for using me two more times. The biggest compliment a person can give you is to ask you back again..... and again. So for me, I really really want to make sure I reward their trust with images they love.
We snuck this session in at the very tail end of the season, it was chilly, so we got down to business quickly, and the boys were great as the cold slowly grabbed hold of us towards the end.
Hope you enjoy these images.

Mommy and her first adorable "baby"
And the new handsome baby
Adore !
Hello cutie !
I LOVE to catch a great natural reaction.
Brothers.
I did say... stick out your tongue.....
And then SMILE.
So in fairness to how cute the tongue one is, and how awesome the smile is, I had to show both.
And finally, again, I have to say, Jana, you look beautiful here. I'm so partial to these images. Something about a beautiful woman in the arms of her partner.
Thanks guys, and special thanks to Kevin, who pulled an all nighter working, and then came for photos.
Awesome.
And lastly, if you are ever wondering how to coordinate, without being too matchy matchy, this family had it down pat. You guys looked great.
Sunday
For a girl not working as a photographer, I had a busy day this day. This is the second of two families I photographed today. Only friends and special people is my line. So this is my friend Carolyn, who like the earlier session, has become a dear friend. She`s kind, sweet, caring and the first to be there to offer support. She also has a killer sense of humour, and a wonderful karaoke voice. So I was very pleased to do her family photos, here`s a peek.
Did I also mention how nervous I get when photographing friends.
GULP
Beautiful !!!
I love how natural and relaxed they are with each other.
Big smiles.
Love !
Thank you Kamloops weather for cooperating so we could do THIS in November.
One of my favorite pictures. I love the closeness, her happiness, and I can almost feel the connection between these two.
The sun came out so we took a few sun drenched blurry dreamy pics.
How does a man get so lucky to have two lovely ladies in his life.
Those eyes !!!
Thanks to K`s kitty for being my pal while she posed for pics.
Special moments.
Now this picture makes me jealous, not only does Carolyn look drop dead gorgeous, I love the way she is looking at her daughter. This picture shows how so many mothers feel about their children.
Mommy cuddles.
And yes, they had to have the couples photos too. I adore this one. Promise me you will frame it and put it up, because you both like amazing.
Daddy love.
Thanks guys, I hope you like your photos, it was lots of fun to photograph you guys.
YOUCH !!!!!!!!
(couldn`t resist putting this fun one up)
great humour guys !
